Privacy Policy

In short: YinYang Food has no account, no ads and no analytics. Your favourites and your quiz result are kept on your phone and never sent to us. The app sends something over the internet only if you choose to join our newsletter, and then it sends your email address.
Who we are
YinYang Food (“the App”) is made by LD Coda, LLC. This policy explains what the App keeps, what it sends and why.
What stays on your phone
The App keeps a few things in its own storage on your device so it can show them next time:
- the foods you save as favourites;
- your latest constitution quiz result (your body type), which is worked out on your phone;
- that you have read the first-launch notice;
- whether you have joined the newsletter, so the sign-up box is not shown again.
The App never sends any of this anywhere. You can clear your quiz result from the quiz, and clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App removes the rest. If your phone's own backup is turned on (Android backup or iCloud), it may include the App's data in your backup and restore it when you reinstall; that backup belongs to your account, and we can't see it.
What leaves your phone
The optional newsletter. If you type your email address into the sign-up box on the Today tab and press Join, the App sends that address, together with the name of the app it came from, to LD Coda's sign-up service, hosted on Amazon Web Services. We use it only to send occasional LD Coda news, and we never sell or share it. To be removed, email info@ldcoda.com. This is the only network request the App makes.
Sharing. When you share a food or your favourites list, the App hands the text and a link to this website to your phone's share sheet, or copies it if sharing isn't available. Where it goes next is up to you and the app you pick.
Links. Links to this website, our Terms and this policy open in your browser, and the support address opens your email app.
Permissions (Android)
The App never asks you for a permission. Its manifest lists:

No location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, notifications or storage permission is requested.
Third-party code
The App contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or in-app payment code. It is built with Capacitor and Capacitor's official Share plugin, which opens your phone's share sheet. We checked the 1.3.1 Android build for these libraries.
This website
yinyangfood.ldcoda.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The newsletter box on this site sends your email address to the same sign-up service. The contact form is delivered to us by Formspree. The App Store and Google Play badges load from Apple's and Google's servers.
Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. It has no accounts or social features.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
